Hey, I’m James - a photographer and filmmaker. Raised in Florida and currently based in North Carolina, I specialize in travel, landscape and lifestyle photography as well as directing creative campaigns and narrative-driven films. I work with commercial brands to understand their marketing goals and execute a creative vision by producing authentic, story-driven content that elevates their visual identity and voice. Ultimately, I help brands create a meaningful connection with their audience.
Since I was old enough to put sketching pencil to paper, I have always been happiest when I’m creating. Around age 10 I picked up my dad’s DV camcorder and started making movies (rumor is they can still be found on the internet if you know where to look), and since then I have found storytelling is what motivates almost everything I create.
Photography has given me a more meaningful relationship with the world. Through it, I’m fascinated by exploring the intimacy of what places mean to us, capturing a sense of place and inspiring others to wonder at the world around them and find deeper meaning in their own stories.
